He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Thom and Howard Thom. He is survived by: his wife Emily; his children, Sidney M. Thom, Jr. (Taylor) and Rebecca D. Thom Berk (Kevin); his grandchildren, Charles L. Berk, Sidney Ann Berk and Pressley Luedecke-Walcik; his stepdaughter Emily Dean Gregory; his stepgranddaughters, Abigail Armstrong (William) and Margaret Hart (Thomas); and also, Ronald H. Thom, Amelia Grace Hart, Dean Thomas Hart and Henry Francis Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Presbyterian Church and the Salvation Army.
