He is survived by: his wife Ruth Meinholz; his sisters, Erika Colius of Canada and Almut Sohnemann of Germany; his niece Stefanie Winters of Germany; his stepson Chad Mowrey (Ashley); and his stepgranddaughters, Olivia, Ava and Eleanor.
