She was predeceased by: her parents, David Esco Gillis and Sammie Evelyn Crowson Gillis; her husband Thomas A. Kiernan, Jr.; and her grandson Ronald Lee Schuman, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Ann "Evie" Kiernan of Little Rock and Thomas A. Kiernan III (Sheri) of Plano, Texas; her grandchildren, Michael Schuman of Largo, Adam Birkner (Lesly), Matthew Kiernan of Martinsville and Amy Kiernan Monaco (Logan) of Dallas, Texas; her stepgrandchildren, Sean, Roman Venegas of Plano and Regan Birkner (Laura); her children, Caroline and Adrian of Barnhart, Missouri; and her brothers, James F. "Jim" Gillis (Audrey) of Longview and Mark G. Gillis (Jane) of Tull. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
