We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2024, at the age of 100, Melda Karnes of Jonesboro, Arkansas, born in Neelyville, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Orie Lee Karnes; her children, Shirley Roberts, Cynthia and Bobby Karnes; her parents, Jess Rigdon and Alice Rigdon (Campbell); her grandson Scott Roberts; and her siblings, J. V. Rigdon, Mamie Adams, Edna Roark and Daisy Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Shipman of Jonesboro, AR., Aylene Williams of Corning, AR. and Gary Karnes of Lewisville, TX.; and her siblings, Sonny Rigdon of McDougal, AR., Barbara Demay of East Prairie, MO., Fern Bartlett of Malvern, AR. and Loretta Blankenship of Union City, TN.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
