It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loren Gene Barkley of Jonesboro, Arkansas, born in Lake City, Arkansas, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harrison and Mamie Barkley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Barkley; his children, Doug Barkley (Dawn) of Strawberry, Arkansas, Danny Barkley (Melinda) of Jonesboro, Greg Rhea of Brookland and Angela Tate (Richie) of Paragould; and his grandchildren, Addison Brannon, Sydnie Pelley, Michael Rhea, Hailey Montgomery, Madison Simpson and Andrew Nash. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
