He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Colbert and Madge Colbert; his brother Fred Colbert Jr.; his former wife Coza Evelyn Shopher; and his daughter Cindy Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Bernita Colbert; his daughter Teresa Colbert; his stepson Randy Shopher; his son-in-law Rex Turner of Jonesboro; his granddaughter Ashley Hunter; his great grandchildren, Alexis Eubanks (Scott) and Raine Hunter; his great great grandchild Crew Eubanks of Mountain Home; and his nieces, Sharon Warren (David) of Hot Springs and Anita Davis (Charles) of Searcy.
