He was predeceased by: his father William; his wife Nellie Bogard; his son Jerry Bogard; and his siblings, Billy Lionel Bogard, Conley Earl Bogard, Charles "Buddy" Arnold Bogard, Betty Lou "Sis" Bogard Wagner and Carolyn Ann Bogard Osborne.
He is survived by: his son Bruce Bogard (Debbie) of Middletown, Delaware; his granddaughters, Brooks Benzing (Tony) of Germantown and Abby Bogard of Townsend, Delaware; his great grandchildren, Mattie and Emma; and his siblings, Harold Bogard of Morgan Hill, California, Jerry Bogard of Tennessee, William Elwood Bogard Jr. of Jonesboro, Frank "Tater" Bogard of Kingsbury, California, Benny Bogard of Springfield, Missouri and Bonnie Butler of San Antonio, Texas..
