He is survived by: his wife Janet Dotson; his children, Chris Dotson, Tony Dotson, Jeremy Dotson, Joshua Dotson and Jennifer Carr; and his sisters, Lila Simmons and Rose Ann Smith. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
