He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayle Nelson and Yvonne Nelson; and his siblings, David Nelson and Paula Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Denise Nelson (Griffin); his daughter Ambie (Michael Vandermark, Jr.); his grandchildren, Michael (Ellen Vandermark III) and Ava Vandermark; and his brother Craig Nelson.
