He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Shepherd and Gladys Brannon Obenshain. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Shepherd; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Tammy Shepherd of Wesley; his daughter Pamala; his son-in-law David Lillard of Prairie Grove; his grandchildren, Tara (Dalton Fortune), Erin (Cody Wolfe) and Austin Kragel of Prairie Grove; and his siblings, Zelah (Gene McCollough), Faye (Bill Robeson), Nadine (Don Hopper), Donna Maze of Pineville, Missouri, Jim Obenshain of Forum, Ray "Shep" (Sharon Shepherd) and Ralph "Buck" (Judy Obenshain). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
