He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Vollie and Mary Lee Cox Powell; his daughter Lisa Crow; and his siblings, Joel Lee, Doyle Powell, Virgle Powell, Etta Bell Hawthorne and Alene Stagner.
He is survived by: his brother Roofing; his wife Betty Webb Powell of Hope, AR; his children, James "Randy" Powell (Pattie) of Hope, AR, Cathy Brown (Billy) of Hope, AR and Christy Powell (Mark) of Hope, AR; his grandchildren, Jamie Powell (Hannah), Jeremy Powell (Amber), Crystal Scott, Micah Brown (Alana), Jerad Brown (Stephanie), Andy Powell (Abby), Whit "Summer" Powell, Roprea Jones, Nikki Crowe and Seth Crowe; his siblings, Audrey Robbins and Dillard Powell (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Phyliss Malone. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
