He was predeceased by: his father Rufus Cooper; his stepfather Delmar Nelson; and his siblings, Raymond, George, Jerry, Helen Berry, Betty Sanders, Ora Faye Billings and Nellie Cooper.
He is survived by: his mother Marion Helen Cox (Kathy Cooper); his children, Bill Cooper, KayLynne Brown (Brian), Sally Ann Cooper, Nicole Shapley (Johnathon) and Allison Wright (Eddie); and his siblings, Jackie Cooper, James Dickson, John Cooper and Patsy Williams (Joey). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
