He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Woodrow and Avis Hoots, Sr. (Prince); and his siblings, Paul Ray Hoots, Onita Tate, Juanita Odom and Mary Faye Haynes.
He is survived by: his brothers, Leroy, Jr. and David; his wife Eunice Hoots; his son Leroy "L. J."; his siblings, Harold Woodrow Hoots, Jr. (Bonnie) of Jonesboro, Betty Cansler (Bob) of Harrisburg and Nancy Lowry-Edman (Ron) of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Caleb Leroy Hoots, Chloe Diane Hoots, Waylon Moore Hoots, Corbin Wayne Hoots, Bryson Thomas Hoots and Carter Lee Hoots.
