He was predeceased by: his former wives, Dorthy Wike and Lily Dunets; and his daughter Faith Ann Stewart. He is survived by: his siblings, Gracie, George, Leo, Elmer, John and Frank; his wife Rev. Edythe Stewart (Nelson Crabb) of Edwardsville, IL.; his grandson Cory (Beth Stewart); his great grandchild Gabrielle Stewart; and his stepchildren, Bill, Barb Craft, Steve Bullock, Germany, Rev. Richard and Deborah Crabb (Thrasher).
When the Coronavirus forced the lockdown of the Veterans Home, no ministers were allowed to come into the VA facility in St. James.
In lieu of Flowers, donations in memory of Rev. Gerald Stewart are requested to be sent to AG Mission Work in Japan.
