With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Retha Kay (Sweeten) Boggs in Greenwood, Arkansas, born in Paris, Arkansas, who passed away on February 17, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kelly Sweeten and Velda Sweeten; and her brothers, Lonnie and Skip Sweeten. She is survived by: her sons, Rick Hamby and Bobby Hamby of Hackett; her grandchildren, Jennifer Slavens (Marcus) of Hackett and Dustin Hamby of Hackett; her brother Donnie Sweeten (Ruthie); and her great grandchild Sebastian Slavens (Larry Paul).

“Retha and I became friends when her family lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We attended the same school, Valley High School. Retha was such a good friend and a dear person. I lost touch when her family left New Mexico but I have been trying to find her for quite a few years. I am beyond words and tears to hear of her passing. I will treasure my pictures of us in our youth. She will be sorely missed.”
