It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Ray Garrett (Greenwood, Arkansas), who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Garrett and Mary Garrett; and his daughter Tamara Short Smith of Bentonville, AR. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Short Garrett; his children, Brett Short, Stacie Dyer Savage of Alma, AR, David Garrett of Fayetteville, Chrissy Popovits of Flint, MI and Tommy Short of Booneville; his grandchildren, Kyle Reinhart, Trey, Darian, Garrett, Martin, Daniel Dyer, Lucas Garrett, Lauren, Evie, Ben Popovits, Tara Witten, Liz Magill, Ali Smith Krum, Toni Catlett, Toby Short, Peyton and Abby Short; and his sister Jan Walrod of Fort Smith. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
