Freddie Hook Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie Hook of Greenwood, Arkansas, born in Hartford, Arkansas, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Omer Jackson and Cordelia Mae Slate; her husband Loyd Reed Hook, Jr.; her son Lawrence Hook; and her siblings, Leonard Slate, Milburn Slate, Byrem Slate, Wayne Slate, Edna Goering, Melba Tankersley and Lela Slate.

She is survived by: her children, Loyd Reed Hook, III (Karen) of Broken Arrow, Bill Hook (Becky) of Fort Smith, Carolynn Hook of Mountain Home and Lois Madden (Mully) of Roland; and her siblings, Donald Slate of Booneville, Harold Slate of Roland and Marilyn Davis of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
