Erma Jean Hicks Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erma Jean Hicks (Greenwood, Arkansas), born in Altus, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2024 at the age of 81. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Erma Jean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Sax and Clara Sax (Soerries); her husband Cyril Hicks; her son Jeffrey Hicks; and her siblings, Alvin Sax, Louie Sax, Bernice Sax and Marcella Melton.

She is survived by: her son Phil (Teri Hicks); and her sister Emily (Bernie Schroeder). She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a truck load of nieces and nephews.
