It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lee Brixie of Gillett, Arkansas, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Lee Brixie to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oather "Osie" Chester Brixie and Elvira Cecilia Stitz Brixie; his siblings, Chester Lee Brixie, Edith Tate and Magaline McCarty; his daughter Martha Pitts; his grandsons, Stephen Haggins and Nicholas Broglin; and his stepgrandchild Devan Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Jewel Giss Brixie; his daughters, Angela Rhein (Rick) of Swan Lake, AR, Susie Parfait (Farrell) of Cocoa Beach, FL and Anita Marie Brixie of Star City, AR; his siblings, Iline Winders of Monticello, AR, Evelene Brixie of Pine Bluff, AR, Stephen Brixie of Vermillion, OH and Wilburn Brixie of Humphrey, AR; his stepchildren, Wayne, Bobby Howard, Jewellee Mellor and Paula Thomas; his granddaughters, Michelle, Jamie and April; and his stepgrandchildren, Robert, Jessica, Lexy, Wyatt, Colton and Christopher. He is also survived by one great granddaughter; three great grandsons.
Funeral service following Covid-19 guidelines will be 2:00 p. m. Saturday, February 27, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Gillett, AR.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
