It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verba Stephens of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson and Gladys Nelson of Barber, Arkansas.; her husband Leroy Stephens, Sr.; her son Leroy Stephens, Jr.; and her siblings, Billy Nelson, Joyce Collyge, Lois Organ and Jimmie Lee Sitlington.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Reeder (Phillip) of Hockley, Brenda Blaylock (Jerry) of Lavaca, Olen Hicks (Jeannie) of Blanchard and Doug Hicks (Karla) of Fort Smith. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
