She was predeceased by: her children, Ronald, Samuel, David, Latonya and Michelle; and her siblings, Leroy, Phillip, James, Carolyn and Najiya.
She is survived by: her son James Russell (Elizabeth) of Clovis; and her siblings, Carrie Nevers of Fort Smith, Minister Anitta Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dr. Elphin Smith (Felicia) of Fort Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
