He is survived by: his wife Josefina; his sons, Ruben Chavez of California, Eric Chavez of Fort Smith and Miguel Chavez of Fort Smith; and his siblings, Elvia Reyna of Fort Smith, Mayola Marin of Fort Smith, Rosario Matamores of Fort Smith, Girselda Reyes of Fort Smith, Antonia Chavez of Fort Smith, Javier Chavez of Fort Smith, Guadalupe Chavez of Fort Smith, Simon Chavez of Washington and Juan Chavez of Fort Smith. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
