He was predeceased by: his father William Harmon Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Betty Faye Brooks (Clark); and his children, Joel Clark (Janeen) of Tulsa, Vernon Boyd (Lisa) of Fort Smith, Jason Brooks (Lisa) of Virginia, Malissa Packer of Fort Smith, Lida Hilburn of Fort Smith, Rachel Alverson (David) of Fort Smith, Diana Whitlock of Alma and Kimberly Hughes (Danny) of North Carolina. He is also survived by twelve siblings.
