He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Chronister and Perna Bell Chronister (Fry); his daughter Patty Ann; his grandson Justin; and his siblings, Audria Roe, Ray, Fay, Bobby and Linston Chronister.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Mark Chronister and Jeff Chronister of Poteau, OK; his grandsons, Matthew (Katelen Chronister) of Poteau and Jared (Morganne Chronister) of Ft. Smith, AR; his siblings, Betty Newby of Wister, OK, Buford (Shirley Chronister) of Kemah, TX and J. W. (Colene Perry) of Lubbock, TX; and his sister-in-law Jean Chronister of Wister, OK. He is also survived by other relatives, loved ones and friends.
