He was predeceased by: his stepfather William Ezra Farrar; and his sister Glenna Rye Schimmel (Jim). He is survived by: his children, April Rye Shy (Craig) of Fayetteville, AR and Phillip Douglas Rye (April Brown Rye) of Benton, AR; his grandchildren, Madison, Savannah Rye, Jordan, Payton, Audrey and Austin Douglas Shy; his aunt Bettye Rye Bassham (Steve) of Rogers, AR; and his niece Julia Schimmel Hughes (Philip) of Cleveland, OK. He is also survived by two great nieces, three great great nieces, two great great nephews, several cousins, and many friends.
