We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2021, at the age of 88, Ben Gilbert of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anabel Gilbert and Ben Gilbert; his brothers, Earl, Bob and Jon; and his son Benjamin.

He is survived by: his wife Emily; his children, Bill Gilbert (Janeen) of Conway, AR and Jennifer Johnson (Kent) of Morrilton, AR; his brother Jim Gilbert of Houston, TX; and his granddaughter Susan Gilbert Rebecca Litland (Dusty Allsup). He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ben was an Army Veteran and the family has asked that memorials be made to American Legion of Fayetteville 1195 S Curtis Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701.

“Dear Emily and family, I received a letter from Jim Gilbert informing me of Ben's death. You have my condolence, and I will keep you in my prayers. I have not seen Ben in years and understand he was in poor health. I remember the family gathering in Flint, Mi.(1954) when Grandpa Brown died.
