He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Thompson Sr. and Josephine Jackson Thompson; and his brothers, James Edward Thompson Jr. and Danny Earl Thompson. He is survived by: his son Kyle McCaffrey of Dardanelle; his siblings, Donna Diggs of Dardanelle, Loretta Smith of Russellville, Laura Ann Thompson of Fort Smith and Jerry L. Thompson of Russellville; and his aunt Joann Bell of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
