He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Strnad and Mary Cinger Strnad; his brothers, Paul E. Strnad and Ernest Strnad; and his nephew Mark Qualls.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Lou Qualls and Stanley Strnad (JoAnn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
