He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Williams and Laura Hodge Pittser; his stepfather Luther Pittser; his son Neil Newman; his brothers, Edward Williams, Ernie Williams and Evertt Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Dowling and Natha Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Retta "Jeannie" Williams; his children, Penny Helms (Delbert), Ronnie Williams, Bruce Williams (Patty), Dori Stanley and Ernie Williams; his sister Christine Dowling; and his children-in-law, Daniel Lovelace and Jullie Newman. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
