She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Clifton; her daughter Carolyn; her grandson Scott Taylor; her parents, John Ellis and Florence Embry Sarter; and her siblings, Charles Sarter, Lena Cole, Mary Farrow and Geraldine McKeown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Baxley of Pocahontas and Darlene Southerland (Jon) of Vilonia; and her grandchildren, Todd Smith (Charlie), Jennifer DeVore (Danny), Ron Baxley (Deshea) and Erika Waller.
