It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucy Hammett of Conway, Arkansas, born in Mayflower, Arkansas, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Ollie Hammett; her children, Cindi Fairfield Bay (Pat Wolff), Mike Benton (Denise Hammett), Julie Davis Conway (Curtis West) and Adam Conway (Leann Hammett); and her sister Bettye Starkey. She is also survived by 10 grandkids, 14 great grandkids.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

“Cindi, Julie, Mike and Adam I am so sorry. I just heard of Lucy and Ollie's deaths. Not sure if you remember me, but I worked with Lucy at Ozark Chemical in Maumelle. We lost contact throughout the years but I am completely shocked and so sorry for all of your losses. I loved Lucy so much. Andrea Stane (Engele)”
