He was predeceased by: his mother Judith Louise Cornelius Mathews; and his grandparents, Lewis, Irene Cornelius, Lloyd and Rosa Mathews.
He is survived by: his father Charles Mathews; his wife Melissa "Missy" Mathews; his daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Mathews of Carlisle and Toni Mathews of Carlisle; his sisters, Barbara Dobson (Troy) of Pensacola and Shannon Ferguson of Morrilton; his nephew Matthew Dobson (Lauren) of Jacksonville, FL; his nieces, Ashley White (Eric) of Plumerville, AR, Rachel Phifer (Josh) of Russellville, AR and Allison Ferguson of Morrilton, AR; and his close friends, Tony Crites and Phillip Leonard.
