She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Pruitt and Bessie Howard Pruitt; her siblings, Lois, Charles Pruitt (Marie), Percy Pruitt (Jamie), Lewis Pruitt (Mavis) and A. J. Pruitt (Ruby Lee); and her nephew Charles Pruitt.
She is survived by: her husband John Wallace Cross; and her nieces and nephews, Nell Pruitt Cook of Texas, Elaine Pruitt of Alabama, Lloyd Pruitt (Cindy) of Texas, Neil Pruitt of Chidester, Rick Pruitt of Little Rock, Arnold Pruitt (Radeana) of Oklahoma and Larry Pruitt of Oklahoma.
