She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Meggs and Lena Slaughter Meggs; and her siblings, Wylie Meggs, Webster Meggs, Evie Brasher of El Dorado and Ruby Vance Harris of Pine Bluff.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet Chavis (John); her granddaughters, Lori Chavis of Springdale and Leah Chavis Lanford; her great grandchildren, Jack Lanford and Harper Lanford of Little Rock; and her sisters, Morene Holder and Agnes Smith of El Dorado. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
