It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Melvin Edwards (Calico Rock, Arkansas), born in Senath, Missouri, who passed away on July 16, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Baley Simpson Edwards and Katie Lina Parker Edwards; and his sisters, Wanda Huffines, Ashley Davis and Gladys Wrather.
He is survived by: his wife Willie Mae Edwards; his son Danny Melvin Edwards (Linda) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Jason Edwards, Jessica Smallwood, Sheila Morgan and Matthew Coffman; and his niece Marcia Lawrence of Mountain View. He is also survived by five nephews; two nieces and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
