She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester F. Wymer and Veriece Odean Wymer (Moore); and her sister Chestene Henderson. She is survived by: her husband Steve Franklin Thornton; her daughter Stephanie Thornton Glenn (Donald, Jr.) of Brookland; her siblings, Troy Wymer (Linda) of Jacksonville, Chester Ray Wymer (Ellen) of Searcy, Arkansas and Charlene Altom (Buddy) of Campbell Station; her brother-in-law Walker Henderson of Weiner, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kendra Glenn of Brookland and Gunner Glenn of Brookland; her great grandchild Azure Solomon; her close friend Linda Atkinson; and her nephews, David Wymer, Rickey Henderson, Michael Thornton, Colton Thornton, Brent Thornton and Trey Thornton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
