It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Faye Futrell of Brookland, Arkansas, born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cox (Bill) and Ethel Marie Cox (Shelton); her husband Bennie Futrell; and her siblings, William Thomas, Ruby Pierce and Sylvia Hedger.
She is survived by: her children, Benny Futrell (Sandra) and Lenita Beasley; her grandchildren, Payton Futrell (Sarah), Ashley Yeager and Kim Schoolfield (Clint); her great grandchildren, Presley Schoolfield, Benny Casen Futrell and Hayeslee Futrell; her sisters, Opal Verneda Brown and Lena Mangrum; and her close friend Dalton Davis (Dugan).
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance while observing social distancing guidelines.
