He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Pitman and Katherine Pitman; his wife Sue Pitman; his son David Allan Pitman; and his brother-in-law Dr. Jerry Morris.
He is survived by: his sons, Carter Pitman (Paul) of St. Louis, Paul Pitman (Maria) of New York, Tony Elmore (Cindy) of Jonesboro, John Pitman (Kathy) of Kansas City and J. J. Pitman (Heahter) of Little Rock; his sister Marilyn Morris of Cotter; his grandchildren, Josh Pitman, Leah Pitman, Alexander Pitman, Naomi Pitman, Zane Pitman, Sydney Elmore, Tessa Pitman, Arynne Pitman, Zoe Pitman, Dean Elmore and Dylan Pitman; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Pitman, Addison Pitman and Wesley Pitman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
