It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Carter of Brookland, Arkansas, who passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Rufus" Burdyshaw and Maudie Ann Burdyshaw (Ladd); her granddaughters, Reianna and Destiney Forkum; her siblings, Bill Burdyshaw, Robert Burdyshaw, Wayne Burdyshaw, Margaret Burdyshaw, Linda Burdyshaw and Patsy Davis; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Miller, Wayne Snell and Jimmy Yarbrough.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Forkum (Ricky) and Beverly McQuay; her grandchildren, Cody Thornton, Levi Thornton (Kirby), Steven Glenn and Kailey McQuay; her great grandchildren, Jhett and Charlee Jo Thornton; her siblings, Stanley Burdyshaw, Vergie "Tookie" Dorton (Eulas), Fredia Miller, Goldie Haynes (Gary), Carol Snell, Joyce Bednar (Robert) and Shirley Waln (Ronnie); and her sisters-in-law, Doris Burdyshaw, Sherry Burdyshaw and Carol Burdyshaw. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donation be made in Jean's name to The Alzheimer's Association, Arkansas Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Hospital or Flo and Phil's Hospice House of Jonesboro.
