He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Shuffield and Cordelia Sheets Shuffield; and his siblings, C. O. Shuffield, H. L. "Sonny" Shuffield, Gennievee Jackson and Shelby Jean McWha Langham.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Counts Shuffield of Arkadelphia; his children, Rebecca Hughes (Becky) of Bismarck, Ron Shuffield (Debbie) of Bismarck and Paul Shuffield, Jr. of Arkadelphia; his sister Joie Stephens of Hot Springs; and his grandchildren, Summer Calhoun (Brent), Sarah Robinson (Brandon), Ryan Shuffield (Adi), Spencer Shuffield (Kristen), Nicholas Shuffield, Bradley Shuffield (Amanda) and Harrison Shuffield. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
