She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Kanning and Esther Kanning (Kiester); her husband Leslie Gatchel; her brother David Kanning; and her close friend Joseph Adams.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Gatchel (Sheri) of Huxley, Nancy Plagge (Virgil) of Golden and Robert Gatchel (Martha) of Hartland, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Matthew Gatchel (Brandee) of Huxley, Sara Wilson (Travis) of Huxley, Joseph Plagge (Magda) of Denton, Lisa Thompson (James) of Eagle Rock, Adam Plagge (Kisa) of Brant Lake, Lauren Crawford (Allen) of Indianapolis, Allison Nault (Luke) of Waukesha, Austin Gatchel of San Francisco and John Gatchel of Denver, Colorado; and her sisters, Doris Junker of Belfair, Julia Westby of Olympia, Diane Lenzi of Richland and Diane Kanning of Gulf Breeze, Florida. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
