She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Henson and Juanita Henson; her husband Tom "Pa" Alexander; her brother Guy; her children, Jaunda Smith (Ricky) of Rudy, John Robert Alexander (Meichelle) of Van Buren and Nelson Alexander (Susan) of Gans; and her sisters, JoAnn Mast of Mulberry and Brenda Gregory of Dyer. She was also cherished by six grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
