He was predeceased by: his grandson Jar'Veez Price; and his brothers, Ozie Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Billy Wayne Johnson and Holman Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Linda D. Melbert Moody; his grandson Vernon, Jr. (Laterrica); his children, Rodney Johnson (Wilma) of McKinney, TX, Beverly Johnson of Sparkman, AR, Marvin Moody of Little Rock, AR, Vernon Moody (Ruby) of Arkadelphia, Sedrick Moody of Arkadelphia and Youlanda Giles (Terrence); and his siblings, Ida Mae Matlock of Mt. Pine, AR, Bobbie Jean Cole of Queens City, NY, L. H. Johnson (Christana) of Sparkman, AR, Edward Johnson of Sparkman, AR and James Johnson (Louise) of Ft. Wayne, IN.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends.
