She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband David Hawley Shiver; her parents, Fletcher Jackson and Mattie Jackson (Taylor); her siblings, Doris Johnson (Quinton), Charles Jackson (Judi) and Martha Sherrill (Bo); her children, Pamela Thornton (Jim), Lisa Jacoby (Bill) and John Shiver; her grandchildren, John Thornton (Honour), Eric Thornton (Laura), Caroline Jacoby and Rachel Jacoby; and her great grandchild Pierce Thornton.
