He was predeceased by: his father Coy Wayne Swinney; and his brother David Dewayne Swinney. He is survived by: his wife Carole Swinney; his children, Leslie Tanner (Ryan Tanner), Brandon Swinney and Katy Wilson (Derek Wilson); his grandchildren, Leah, Arianah, Maddie and Cameron; his mother Shirley Swinney; his sister Lori Aten; and his brother-in-law John Aten.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the church he loved, Bismarck United Methodist Church, Bismarck, Arkansas.
