He is survived by: his wife Glenda Chambers Simpson; his sons, Robert "Pep" Simpson and Clay Simpson (Barbara); his granddaughters, Keysha Thomaston (Kenneth), Ariel Donner (Clint) and Courtney Simpson; and his great grandchildren, Morgan and Melody.
