It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Giles Shepherd of Woodstock, Alabama, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his aunt Ruby P. Greene; his son-in-law Jesus "Jesse" Chavez; and his siblings, Bill Sheppard, Ruth Jernigan and Peggy "Daisy" Easley.

He is survived by: his wife Lou Farmer Shepherd; his children, Eric Shepherd (Angela), Scott Putman (Amelia), Chris Putman, Kathy Shepherd and Mary Helen Seiver (Mike); and his siblings, Don Sheppard, Wanda Nester and Maggie Shepherd. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
