He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar and Leona Baldwin Smith; his wife Jane Smith; and his siblings, Calvin Smith, James Ray Smith, Clyde Smith, Edith Steely, Alvin Smith and Emmett Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Smith (Sonya) of Wedowee, AL. and Kevin Smith (Susan) of Roanoke, AL.; his grandchildren, Brittany, Emily, Connor, Joie, Logan and Jake; and his siblings, Betty Baker of Wedowee, AL., Kathy Freeman of Ranburne, AL. and Larry Smith of Roanoke, AL.. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
