She was predeceased by: her parents, Prince Chappell and Eucal Barfield Chappell; her husband Earnest Thomas Shiflett, Sr.; and her siblings, Francis Kirby, Janell Sheppard, Mildred Bonds, Charlie Chappell, Bobby Chappell, William Chappell, Sarah Hanvey and Howard Chappell.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Davis of Douglasville, GA, Mark Shiflett of Marietta, GA and Earnest Thomas "Tommy" Shiflett, Jr. (Robin) of Waynesboro, GA; her grandchildren, Zack Shiflett, Kristin Howard, Rachel Glover (Justin) and B. J. Davis; her great grandchildren, Daisy Davis, Ryder Howard and Brayden Davis; and her sister Betty Bailey of Roanoke.
