He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Lonzo Porter and Rosa Lee Dillard Porter; his granddaughter Linsey Porter; and his nieces and nephews, Jeanette Simmons, Tammy Wright, Jennifer McKinley, Phillip Wright and Dustin Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Porter; his sons, Jerry Porter (Lisa) and Tony Porter (Katrina); his grandchildren, Toby Porter, Jeremy Porter (Josie), Ashley Papanie (Chris), Valarie Porter and Brandi Porter; his great grandchildren, Ledger, Jasper, Olivia, Layla, Louella James and Eva Camilla; his siblings, Elaine McKinley (Marvin), Leola Vowell, Frankie Gann, Jessie Porter (Glenette), Billy Porter (Angela) and Earl Porter; and his sisters-in-law, Gaynell Dunavant, Sue Howell and Lila Mae Barnes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
